Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Threadwell handles information when you use the app to log interactions, store friend information, manage events, sync contacts, and use AI-assisted features.
Last updated: March 17, 2026
1. Information you provide
Depending on how you use Threadwell, the app may process:
- Account details such as your email address or authentication identifiers.
- Friend profiles you create or edit.
- Interaction notes, summaries, tags, and related metadata.
- Events you add manually or that are derived from saved information.
- Subscription status associated with premium access.
2. Contacts data
Contacts sync is optional. If you grant contacts permission, Threadwell may import selected contact fields from your device, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, and birthdays.
Imported contacts are used to improve name matching, support linking contacts to friend profiles, and create birthday-related events. The app also stores a local cache of imported contacts on the device until you clear it.
3. How the app stores data
Based on the current app structure, Threadwell stores user content in user-scoped collections for friends, interactions, and events. Access rules are configured so each signed-in user can access only their own records.
4. AI-assisted processing
Threadwell uses AI-assisted processing to turn interaction notes into structured data and to answer chat questions based on your saved app content. That means note text, relationship facts, event information, and recent conversation context may be processed through the app's AI backend in order to generate those features.
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Threadwell may schedule local notifications on your device for upcoming events and premium keep-up reminders. These notifications are configured on device and can be disabled in the app or in iOS Settings.
6. Authentication and service providers
The current app integrates third-party services for core functionality, including Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Google sign-in, Sign in with Apple, AI services used through Firebase AI, and RevenueCat for subscription management. Your use of those sign-in, billing, and platform services may also be subject to their own privacy terms.
7. How we use information
- To authenticate you and keep your app data associated with your account.
- To store and organize your friends, interactions, and events.
- To parse notes and power in-app chat and relationship insights.
- To generate optional reminders and notifications.
- To manage premium access, purchases, and restores.
8. Your controls
You can manage notification permissions through iOS, choose whether to sync contacts, clear cached contacts data from the app, sign out, and request deletion by using the app's account deletion flow.
9. Retention
Threadwell keeps your app data until you delete it, delete your account, or it is otherwise removed through the product's normal operation. Local contacts cache remains on device until cleared.
10. Children's privacy
Threadwell is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to create and use an account for this kind of service.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Threadwell after a revised policy takes effect means the updated policy applies going forward.
12. Contact
For privacy questions about Threadwell, use the contact method provided in the app's store listing or the channel through which the app was made available to you.
